Unit 23: Create a personal
media profile
At the end of your work you
must produce a bibliography of sources/media profiles you looked at.
When reviewing the impact of social media and the ways in which business use them it is important that we start from the very basics. So what is social media? Social Medias are different kinds of platforms that allow anyone to become a user’s and then they will be able to create and share content and participate in social networking. Some example for the top social Medias and the tree that will be used in our campaign are Facebook, twitter and Instagram. Here is some more detail on these three social Medias.
Business now realise that there is an ocean of customers in the virtual world, in this case on social media. Statistically speaking 2.34 billion people are using social media. Most social Medias applications features that allow business to get the most of them. I will now go on to how different business use do this
This is the one of the main biggest reasons that business develop social media account. This is because they are able to sell the brand name and products/services so well using different formats being image, text, video, live video, gifs e.c.t. let’s take a well-established company like DJ.
As we can see in this screenshot taken from their own home page we can see that they as a company are also engaging with social media to reach their audience. Looking deeper into this same screenshot we can see one of the ways they are using Facebook to their advantage that you can see in the second image. (add at home)

The three types different media industries that i have chosen are would are youtube linked in and Facebook as mentioned before. I think that two of these can be used as a paper based platform. these two are of course Facebook and Linked in. this is because these two are usually just pages on information that is presented in a text layout. In my opinion i think that all of these are viable to being in physical from and yet still work for example youtube will be like open mic parlours. There are both advantages and disadvantages to have these in there physical form. lets use Linkedin for example. An advantage of this being in this form would be lead to a stronger connection to the people that they are trying to connect to. a disadvantage would be that it would take up a lot of time and resource to set up and achieve successfully .
Point 4-
In 1980 I believe that if waned to showcase their work the would most likely have to go through a pain procedure of showing the interviewer there names in credits and other paper based documents. They will most likely watch some of the films during this process to persuade the distributers to take there film. unlike today they would have to cary their large roll of film instead of having it on a hard drive or disk.
In today time this a student would have created a digital portfolio. this will contain all of their things that they have done in film that includes a wide range of things like filming editing and more.
If I was to make a portfolio on the course that I have done so have there I would be a few amount of difference than someone who would be doing this in the 1980s. one of these things that i would be doing that someone would not be able to do in the 1980s would be to bring a digital copy of he films.

6 With the work that I have created if i was going to created a media profile I would put my short film and sequence and some other piece of my creations to show case my skill. stating with my film, I would want my film to show my style as both an artist and a film maker. My current and future media productions have/will have a same theme bringing in a concentrated audience of people who are interested in dark and psychological products. For example companies like Blum house.
Another thing that I will add in all other the other things that I have done in preproduction to show all of the skill that have in this area. this includes scripting, storyboard and floor plan. I would want these document to show my audience that I have multiple skill that would help in the production of the film.
